Course Description
This 1-hour course introduced Lingraphica AAC devices, including evidence based and clinical merits. Benefits of high-tech AAC were presented, as well as differential information for identifying candidates for Lingraphica AAC devices. A live demo was given, along with customizing to maximize life participation. Information was given about AAC device trials, funding, and resources from Lingraphica.

  • State three types of benefits patients can receive from high-tech AAC
  • Identify appropriate candidates for Lingraphica AAC devices
  • Describe how the Life Participation Approach can be used as a tool for AAC personalization
  • Complete basic programming functions on a Lingraphica AAC device, including adding and deleting icons

Course Completion Requirements 

  1. Attendance and/or Completion of Online Lecture
  2. Completion of Learning Assessment with a minimum score of 70%
  3. Completion of an Activity Evaluation

 

Instructional Personnel 

Caitlin Mueller, MS, CCC-SLP  

Caitlin Mueller joined Lingraphica’s Clinical Consultant Team in 2015. She holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a B.S. in Communication Studies from Utah State University and an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of the Pacific. She has experience with evaluating and treating clients with a variety of communication impairments using multiple AAC devices and apps.
