Course Description
This 1-hour course provided information on clinical implementation of an AAC device with a new user. The course addressed best practices for setting AAC goals and how to introduce an AAC device in treatment. Ideas were given for structuring therapy around AAC implementation as well as encouraging the use of AAC at home and in other settings. The course addressed ways to increase success by involving communication partners.

  • 5 minutes: Summary and conclusion 

 

Course Completion Requirements 

  1. Attendance and/or Completion of Online Lecture
  2. Completion of Learning Assessment with a minimum score of 70%
  3. Completion of an Activity Evaluation

Caitlin Mueller, MS, CCC-SLP  

Caitlin Mueller joined Lingraphica’s Clinical Consultant Team in 2015. She holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a B.S. in Communication Studies from Utah State University and an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of the Pacific. She has experience with evaluating and treating clients with a variety of communication impairments using multiple AAC devices and apps.
