Course Description
This course outlined considerations for SLPs with prospective AAC users who may benefit from trialing a device and the process to obtain their own. Clinical implementation of devices and communication supports were discussed. It provided user examples, perceived barriers, and solutions to common issues. Documentation, clinical support for SLPs, and device acquisition were also discussed.

Anna Reeve, MS, CCC-SLP
Anna joined Lingraphica in 2019. As a speech-language pathologist, Anna has treated adults with communication and swallowing impairments in primarily outpatient settings, with per diem experience in the inpatient setting. She has also worked extensively with the adult neurogenic patient population in multidisciplinary clinics. Anna holds a BS and MS degree from Idaho State University.

Michelle Phillippy, MPH, MS, CCC-SLP
Michelle Phillippy is a speech-language pathologist with a special interest in assistive technology. Michelle received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University and has a certification in Assistive Technology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Michelle currently serves as a clinical consultant for Lingraphica and previously worked in SNF/ALF settings, school teletherapy, and as an independent contractor conducting AAC evaluations.
