Course Description
This course provided clinical examples and discussion of individual patient characteristics, goals, barriers, and outcomes with adult users of high tech AAC devices. It discussed real life examples of barriers, patient goals and AAC strategies for implementation for improving communication, participation, and quality of life for adults with different communication impairments and diagnoses.

Instructional Personnel: 

Laura Reichl, MS, CCC-SLP 

Laura has been working at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network since 2017. As a speech-language pathologist, Laura has assessed and treated adults in the outpatient neurorehabilitation setting with cross coverage in the inpatient setting and assisted living facilities both in person and via zoom. She also has experience working with adults with complex communication needs including developmental disabilities and acquired disorders. She holds a B.S. degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Spanish and concentration in English as a Second Language and a M.S. degree in Speech Language Pathology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Beth McHose, MS Ed, CCC-SLP    

Beth joined Lingraphica in 2018. She has experience providing speech and language services for the adult population in the acute, rehab, and home health settings. Beth holds a bachelors in English from Virginia Tech and a Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Old Dominion University.

Angela Mooney, MS, CCC-SLP  

Angela joined Lingraphica in 2021. She has experience providing speech and language services for the adult population in the acute, outpatient, and inpatient rehab settings. Angela holds a bachelors in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Indiana University and a Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Northwestern University.

Caitlin Mueller, MS, CCC-SLP  

Caitlin Mueller joined Lingraphica’s Clinical Consultant Team in 2015. She holds a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a B.S. in Communication Studies from Utah State University and an M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of the Pacific. She has experience with evaluating and treating clients with a variety of communication impairments using multiple AAC devices and apps.

Anna Reeve, MS, CCC-SLP  

Anna joined Lingraphica in 2019. As a speech-language pathologist, Anna has treated adults with communication and swallowing impairments in primarily outpatient settings, with intermittent experience in the inpatient, home health and SNF settings. She has worked extensively with the adult neurogenic patient population in multidisciplinary clinics. Anna holds a MS degree in Speech- Language Pathology from Idaho State University.

Sara Schneider, M.S. CCC-SLP   

Sara joined Lingraphica in 2022.  She has experience providing speech and language services to pediatric and adult populations across school, outpatient, acute, rehab and skilled nursing settings.  Sara holds a Bachelors in Communication Disorders from Butler University and a Master's in Speech Pathology from Purdue University.

Jennifer Stanley, MA, CCC-SLP    

Jennifer Stanley joined Lingraphica in 2018. She has experience providing speech and language services for the adult population in acute, skilled, outpatient and home health settings. Jennifer also has early intervention experience providing speech and language services to the 0-3 population in the natural environment. Jennifer holds a BS in speech pathology and audiology and a MA in speech pathology from Ball State University, Muncie, IN.

Teresa earned her BSBA from the University of Denver and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwestern University.
