Using Lingraphica Hub to Enhance Therapy, Community, & Connection: 0.7 CEU Self-Study

This course has been developed for delivery to speech-language pathologists. It is registered with ASHA for 0.7 CEU.

This course is only available to SLPs who have completed a 7-hour Hub software trial as part of the Lingraphica Certification Program.
Enrollments are restricted to SLPs who are currently enrolled in the Lingraphica Certification Program and have participated in and completed a 7-hour software trial. To learn more about LCP, click here: Lingraphica Certification Program
As part of LCP, you are required to complete seven hours of work with Lingraphica’s TalkPath Therapy app or website. To get started, download the time log from the link listed in the Resources section. Fill in the time log with all of the time you spent using TalkPath Therapy.
Once you have completed the time log, return to this course and start the process of receiving your CEUs.
You will need to upload a completed PDF of your time log, view the video, pass the assessment, and complete the course evaluation in order to receive credit for this course.

Learners must use the most updated version of Chrome for all CEU activities on this portal. Using mobile devices or other browsers at any juncture will cause an error in the course completion process.

This course explored the importance of and need for the enhanced feature applications of Lingraphica Hub software platform including, Therapy, Community, & Connection. In depth information about how to access and utilize these device applications will be presented. Participants will also gain hands-on experience using each of these applications.

Learning Outcomes:
 
Participants will be able to:
  • Perform the basic functions of TalkPath Therapy and TalkPath News for creating individualized speech therapy plans.
  • Utilize cueing features to maximize patient performance of TalkPath Therapy and TalkPath News tasks
  • Read and analyze TalkPath Therapy reporting of patient performance.
  • Identify patient performance trends to modify individual TalkPath Therapy plans.
  • Train communication partners/ care givers to facilitate home exercise programs through TalkPath Therapy & TalkPath News.
  • Perform the basic functions of Virtual Connections for connecting people with aphasia socially to reduce isolation and increase life participation.
  • Describe the Community website people with aphasia can utilize to connect with others in the aphasia community.
 
Time-Ordered Agenda:
 

    Part One:

  -5 minutes: Introduction

  -10 minutes: Establishing the need for therapy, connection, and community within the world of  aphasia. (Literature Review)

  -20 minutes: TalkPath Therapy & TalkPath News basic function

  -15 minutes: Virtual Connections

  -10 minutes: Community aphasia.com

  Part Two:

  -2 hours: Using TPT in skilled therapy sessions

  -2 hours: Creating Home Exercise Programs/ Maintenance Programs

  -1 hour: Analyzing TPT Reports

  -30 minutes: Article Review

  -30 minutes: Exploring Community

 

Course Completion Requirements 

  1. Attendance and/or Completion of Online Lecture, Readings, and Activities
  2. Completion of Learning Assessment with a minimum score of 70%
  3. Completion of an Activity Evaluation
  4. Upload a time-log consisting of at least seven hours of course activity

 

Instructional Personnel

Jennifer Stanley, MA, CCC-SLP  

Jennifer Stanley joined Lingraphica in 2018. She has experience providing speech and language services for the adult population in the acute, skilled, outpatient and home health settings. Jennifer also has early intervention experience providing speech and language services to the 0-3 population in the natural environment. Jennifer holds a BS in speech pathology and audiology and a MA in speech pathology from Ball State University, Muncie, IN.
